Alex Benitez is a multidisciplinary artist and cultural storyteller who moves fluidly between film, music, and visual art. Originally from Paraguay and now based in New York City, Alex channels his creative energy into work that reflects both his personal roots and a global, forward-facing perspective.

With a degree in Film & Television from Boston University and further training at the New York Film Academy, his film work spans narrative fiction, documentary, and music videos - screening at festivals throughout the U.S and beyond, and earning recognition for its cinematography.

As a DJ and curator under the alias "sorry i’m late", Alex builds sonic experiences that move between genres and geographies. He’s a resident of Room Service International, a New York-based collective using music and culture to connect and uplift communities.

His visual art practice, rooted in a lifelong doodling style, has expanded into painting, sculpture, and mixed media, often merging with his film and music projects to create layered, cross-disciplinary narratives. Across all mediums, Alex’s work centers culture and connection - bridging worlds, stories, and communities through a distinctly personal lens.
